Blistering

Introduction

Blistering is observed as the swelling and formation of paint bubbles under the layer of paint. This is attributed to several possible reasons, most notably would be the presence of excess oil or moisture. Blistering can also occur when there is an inappropriate choice of paint for the substrate or environment, resulting in compromised adhesion between the paint film and the surface.
