Defective concrete panels are hack and remove. Before replacing with new concrete panels, the thermal joints at the side of the panels are redo. The dimension of the joints are kept to a width to depth ratio of 2:1. This is to prevent the newly constructed concrete panel to crack again due to insufficient room for thermal movement.
The dimension is maintain at width = 25mm and depth = 12mm. If 2/3 of the roof area is experiencing cracks concrete panels, re-roofing the whole roof area with a new layer of concrete panels will be more economical.
