Single lap concrete interlocking tile classified as group B product as to BS 473/ BS 550 (or BS EN 490) or ASTM C 1492-01 of body thickness not less than 9.5mm and at interlocking portion not less than 6.3mm 35+ 1st stage adjustment factor:

In industrial areas (heavy polluted): -15% years

In urban areas: -10% years

In suburban areas: -0% years

2nd stage adjustment factor:

Within 20m from express way: -20% years

Within 20m from major arterial road: -10% years

Within 20m from light traffic road: – 5% years

Within 20m from sea water/ area prone to salt spray: -15% years

Test certificate from approved local testing authority : +15% years

Double lap concrete plain tiles classified as group A products as to BS 473/ BS 550 (or BS EN 490) or ASTM C 1492-01 of thickness not less than 9.5mm at any cross section. Either smooth or granular finish. 35+
Double or single lap concrete imitation slate or stone slatemanufactured and tested in accordance with BS 473/ BS 550 (or BS EN 490) or ASTM C 1492-01 of thickness not less than 9.5mm at any cross section. Manufactured by high pressure extrusion and compaction process. Slates to be tightly fixed to battens, stone slates to be hung on battens. 30
Bitumen based reinforced sarking felt not manufactured to BS 747 Type 1F < 10 None

Assumption:

Nibs on Group A products: not less than 19mm wide if 2 No, 75mm if 1No and each not to be less than 12.5mm at base.

Nibs on Group B products: not less than 32mm wide and 6mm thick at the base of 2 No, and not less than 75mm wide and 12.5mm thick at base of 1 No. Every tiles fixed in accordance with BS 5534 Part 1.

If aluminium or stainless steel or copper fixings are used, adjustment factors are provided for ferrous fixings.

  • Unprotected/ unplated ferrous fixings: -30% years
  • Galvanized or electroplated ferrous fixings: – 15% years
