Water Leakage through Joint
Introduction
Type of Building: Residential
An interior wall with water stain marks just outside wet area is illustrated in the figure . The interior wall was identified as brick wall. Water seepage through the wall is observed causing stains at the wall. In this case, insufficient gradient towards the floor trap with heavily usage of the wet area allowed drainage water to flow towards the wall as shown in the animation. Water retention at wall over time could be one possibility of water seepage.
