Remedial (see also Remedial)

Separation of frequent wetting areas

Kerbs can be built up to separate heavy wet areas such as shower and wash area to minimize water from affecting the entire floor area, if water flowing from those areas towards the wall.

This will incur minimum down time loss to the wet area.

Provide proper ventilation

If the problem is not severe, increase of air circulation would help to remove dampness by keeping the wet area dry. Provision of mechanical ventilation systems can increase the air circulation inside the wet area.

Re-screeding

If the problem is very severe where above solutions are not applicable, leveling of the floor should be corrected.

This can be set by re-screeding.
