The location of concern is an office situated within a block of flatted factories in Bedok. Fungal growth has been reportedly dwelling in this air-conditioned publishing office for the past three years. Time was hence ample for mould to develop and possibly affect indoor air quality, given the lacking awareness of the tenants to inherent mould problems.

Observation

Preliminary observations show the mould growing in a patterned, lined manner, possibly indicating similar pattern in the moisture source. Closer observations show that insulation of chilled water pipes in the ceiling plenum has deteriorated, causing condensed droplets of water falling onto the ceiling boards .

Identified Fungus
