Exposed wiring can result in electrical faulty and increase the possibility of elevator malfunction. The exposed wirings, loose connections without proper conduits can impose risk to the maintenance personnel

  • Diagnostic/testing method

The condition of the wirings, earthing and insulation resistance shall be inspected while cut off the power. With power on, all relays and contactors shall be operated in normal condition without showing excessive sparking and chattering (SS550).

 

  • Good practices

Wirings should be securely in place and properly concealed in a conduit. Wirings in the controller and other elevator equipment should be installed and maintained according to standards.

 

  • Corrections

Controller shall be protected in a case and shall be made from materials that provide water resistant, corrosion resistant, and dust proof. High quality of controllers will provide a reliable performance, longer service life and convenient to be used.
