Contact of ropes and the side of concrete slab will cause abrasive wear to the concrete surface.

  • Good practices

The floor of the machine room should capable to sustain a concentrated load of 135 kg on any 2500 mm² area. Meanwhile, the opening for ropes through the machine room floor shall be practically small and be fitted with curb having a height not less than 50 mm (SS550).

 

  • Corrections

The machine rooms shall be designed and constructed in a way it can withstand the loads and forces, including the plant and machinery loads. The material used has to be durable and not allowing creation of dust. The floor of the room shall to made of a non-slip material.
