  2. Debris between the doors / header track obstruct photo electric (PE) beam of the detector eye
  3. Faulty door operators that cause it to go out of adjustment, interfering its operation, and making it worst causing the door operators to shut down, causing the door jammed

  • Diagnostic/testing method

In the case where the main guiding elements of the door do not operate as intended, the doors must include retainers to keep the door panels in place (EN81-20:2014).

 

  • Good practices

The frequency of service calls for the door operators need to be reviewed. High number of service calls is signifying that the door operators need to be replaced or upgraded.

It is important to ensure the elevator door properly operated as it can impose hazard to the passengers.
