Cause of Defect: Thermal shock, as it is exposed to cycles of high and low temperatures between day and night. Hence, the solar panels material experienced corresponding cycles of expansion and contraction. Human interference could also be the cause.

Consequence: The crack will cause the entire panel to be damaged and replacement of panel is necessary
