Dirt 

Dirt found on VGS can be aesthetically unpleasing for the whole facade appearance in buildings.

• Dirt stains

Discolouration of VGS can be seen in the framing structure. Although, such discolouration of frames is not a structural defect, the dirt particles may manifest as it is carried down by flowing water. If maintenance were to be lacking, these stains would be retained and difficult to be washed off from the frames.

• Dirt accumulation

Dirt particles when left unattended for a long period will be very difficult to clean. A textured surface will have a higher tendency to retain dirt as compared to a smoother surface due to the larger amount of dirt particles carried down by the run-off and then deposited onto the frame structures.
