TiO₂ coating is the strategy to inhibit algae growth. However, high relative humidity results in decrease in photocatalytic activity, resulting in inefficient self-cleaning function³⁵. As photocatalytic ability is decreased, TiO₂ coating is unable to inhibit growth of algae resulting in green stains.
