Building

4-2

The building is a part-residential, part-shopping complex development along Bukit Timah Road. Mould growth was found on the ceiling board of the complex area near to a dining outlet at the fifth storey. Humidity readings (< 70%) show that the indoor environment does not contain excess humidity to encourage mould growth

Observation

Brownish stains can be observed along the edges of the contaminated and the adjacent ceiling boards. Indicative of significant amounts of water previously flooding the ceiling plenum, the leakage had since been rectified. However the defect had led to dark-pigmented mould growing on one stained patch on the ceiling board.
