Lack of Turfing around Vegetation Area

The issue as identified here is that after turfing has died out or be damaged in a roof garden, it is not mended or neglected thereafter. The problem can be associated with inferior maintenance at place. This can be due to lack of accessibility in certain areas or even due to the soil structure of planters.

In this case, the repairability or replaceability has to be considered in the design of the green roof itself. Considerations should be made to make provisions to dig out soil and plants from planters and replanted without affecting the other plants or structures at place.

Furthermore, it should be noted that plant die out can be caused by various reasons including prescription of plants that are not usable for the particular setup.
