As cladding and curtain wall panel, stainless steel has great appearance. The bright, easily maintained surface of stainless steel provides a modern and attractive appearance. The presence of chromium creates an invisible surface film (chromium oxide CrO2) that makes the material corrosion resistant. Chromium oxide is a thin and transparent passive film that allows the natural beauty of stainless steel to remain intact. It is also self-healing and forms readily in air.
