Plaster and Skimcoat

The main purpose of plaster is to provide the degree of level and smoothness. It is applied over unfinished substrate such as concrete wall and brick to receive wall coating or paint. If the substrate surface is levelled and smooth enough (i.e. precast concrete) only skim coat shall be applied. Skim coat has a finer characteristic compared to plaster.
