Water Tightness Test

Limitations

  • Tedious connections before carrying out the test.
  • The mounting chamber will leave ugly holes on the wall as drilling is necessary for the insertion of anchor bolts.
  • The problem of lateral migration is rather prominent when air pressure is applied. This will cause inaccurate readings
  • The apparatus is not able to allow for dynamic variability of air pressure with time.
  • Although the apparatus is designed to facilitate mobility for field use, the small test area of 0.18m2 makes testing at low rates such as 0.21l/min per m2 difficult. This is because when translated into test flow rate for 0.18m2 test area, is only 0.038l/min. No suitable nozzles could be found for this low rate.
