Limitations
- The costs and time involved in building the mock-up facade may be too high to justify its use for small projects.
- Factory conditions when mock-up was constructed may differ greatly from on-site conditions. This may result in unreliable test results where the site constructed facade yielding more effects than perceived.
- Over time, sealant deterioration may permit water and air penetration. Deterioration over time such as sealant deterioration under adverse weather conditions cannot be taken into account by the test.
