Limitations

• Indications are influenced by more than one physical/chemical property of the test
• Piece and may make the interpretations of these indications difficult or misleading
• The depth of inspection needs to be at least ¼ or less depending on the frequency
• Can be used for electrical conductors only
• Sensitive to many properties, thus may disturb measurements
