Cause of Defects
It is likely that the cracks developed due to excessive stresses built up in the concrete panels. The stresses built-up may be due to improper design of the thermal joints. When the concrete panels expand, the panels are forced to crack due insufficient room for adequate movement. Similarly, the concrete panels will contract in the night, this changes in temperature will cause the concrete panels to be more susceptible to cracking.
