Vitreous china to BS 5503 Part 2 | Regular nonabrasive cleaning.
Soft abrasive-neutral cleaners may be used, since strong and abrasive cleaners will scratch & dull the surface. Use a soft cloth to wipe the product dry after each use. For toilet bowl: Use toilet bowl cleaner on the inside of the bowl only. Avoid in-tank cleaners as they can damage the flush valve or other working parts. Wipe any splashes of cleaner solution from plastic or plated surface immediately. Chlorine bleach may be used alone, never combined with bowl cleaner or any other product. Add 1/4 cup to the toilet bowl, let stand few minutes, brush around edge of bowl and flush. This whitens and disinfects. |

* Toilet bowls are made of vitreous china, a very hard & acid-resistant material. Commercial toilet bowl cleaners contain very strong acids which remove hard water & iron deposits, clean & disinfect. They are too strong to be used on other surfaces. They are also highly toxic so use carefully, following product label directions & never mix any other products with the bowl cleaner & never use products designed for drains as they will eat into the pipes.
