Design
The only way to avoid staining problem is to control the flow pattern of water over the building façade or to drive the water off building façade. Early in the design stage, architects should consider:
- Glazing details designed to avoid water run-off onto glass surfaces [3].
- The use of reveals, splays, flashing, drips, etc. from sealants, masonry or metals can minimise run-off and avoid the deposition of residue onto the glass.
