Remedial

Rectify by grouting up the structural cracks with non-shrink grout. This is more efficient than recasting the whole slab again. However, it is only a temporary solution but the most practical.

Existing membrane would have been damaged by the structural cracks as the cracks may lead to the membrane first losing its strength and flexibility following by splitting. The only long term remedial treatment is to dry out and seal all the splits in the felt with bitumen, and then to overlay the existing membrane with BS 747 high performance material.
