Cause of Defects
The membrane had not been laid properly, probably done by some unskillful workers and the lack of supervision during construction.
It was found that the worker who laid the membrane did not scrape off the surface material granules of the bottom layer which result in this bonding failure. The openings allow rainwater to seep in.
