Repair the pipe
- Remove the rust using suitable rust remover. Directions given for using should be followed when de-rusting the surface.
- Rust free surface should be thoroughly cleaned before applying a coating.
- Apply suitable rust inhibitor.
Replace the pipe
- If the pipe is badly damaged by the rust, pipe should be replaced.
- It is recommended to use plastic pipes as replacement.
