Maintenance / Cleaning
Cleaning Frequency 
Hot dip galvanized steel to BS EN 10142 or BS EN 10147, minimum 275g/m² zinc coating weight. PVC/Plastisol coating, 200 microns nominal thickness. Annual inspection & maintenance in accordance with BS 5427: Part 1, Table 9. Renewal of side/end lap seals as necessary.

Visual inspection of weep holes should be made to ensure they are clear and unobstructed from build up of dirt and foreign matter.

Regular cleaning with non-alkaline detergent

Polluted/marine area: every 3 months

Other areas: every 6 months

Hot dip aluminium-zinc coated steel to BS EN 10215, minimum 150g/m² zinc coating weight. PVDF/PVF2 coating, 25-50 microns nominal thickness.
Hot dip aluminium-zinc coated steel to BS EN 10215, minimum 150g/m² zinc coating weight. Acrylic/polyester/silicone polyester coating, 25-50 microns nominal thickness.
Hot dip galvanized steel to BS EN 10142 or BS EN 10147, minimum 275g/m² zinc coating weight. PVDF/PVF2 coating, 25-50 microns nominal thickness.
Hot dip galvanized steel to BS EN 10142 or BS EN 10147, minimum 275g/m² zinc coating weight. Acrylic/polyester/silicone polyester coating, 25-50 microns nominal thickness.
Hot dip galvanized steel to BS EN 10142 or BS EN 10147, minimum 350g/m² zinc coating weight.
Unclassified, ie mild steel not to relevant BS, or coating/surface protection less than above specifications.
