Structural Sealants

Navigation

The term “sealant” refers to wet seal in the construction industry, which includes weather sealant and load bearing/ structural sealant. The use of sealant in cladding and curtain wall or as glazing compound is extensive. Sealant are used extensively for sealing joints that must be leakproof, waterproof, and weatherproof while remaining expansible. Over years, slant has been improved in terms of durability and weathering resistance. However, many designers still preferred to have an open joint to avoid unsightly defect caused by sealant staining.
