Gasket

Navigation

Preformed gasket is an elastomeric compound folded in the form of a continuous strip, channel, or other shape, for use in filing joints and providing weathertight seals in glazing or between building components. Gasket is also known as dry-seal method. Unlike slants, gaskets are non-adhesive and rely on pressure to compress them so as to provide a weathertight seal. Their properties should include compressibility, resilience, impermeability to moist, and resistance to environmental attack.
