Coating Peeling

Introduction

Type of Building: Commercial building

Aluminium cladding has become more popular than steel due to its strength, lightness, stability, and versatility. With the proper finish, aluminium can maintain its appearance for many years with minimal maintenance. Aluminium can be finished in several ways, such as by applying a durable fluorocarbon coating (PVDF) or through anodising, a process that creates a hard patina on the surface to prevent further deterioration.

In this case, the flurocarbon coating has lost its adhesion. Anodised coating does not peel.
