Type of Building: Public Residential Flats
The original colour changes in hue (e.g. violet changes to blue) or loses its intensity and turns lighter in shade. Colour change or bleeding of colour from dark to light. Paint on external walls are exposed to harsh environmental condition with a combination of exposure to heat, UV, rain, pollutants, etc. Often accompanied with chalking (fine chalking powder formed on the paint surface), which is a paint pigment released by the paint binders that have been broken down due to prolonged weathering.
