Remedial

• Wash off with high pressure water jet.
• Apply fungicide to the tiled surfaces to prevent further algae growths.

To prevent recurrence:

• remove the source of the dampness and to dry out the walls as thoroughly as possible;
• improve ventilation, if necessary
• remove the infected paint
• sterilise the surface by applying an antiseptic wash and to allow it to dry before redecorating; and
• use a algae/fungi resistant paint
