Adjustment Factors
0.42 to 0.60 mm BMT (Base Metal Thickness) steel or galvanised sheets complying with requirements of CP 89: 2001. 10-15 1st stage adjustment factor:

In industrial areas (heavy polluted): -15% of no. of years

In urban areas: -10% of no. of years

In suburban areas: no adjustment

2nd stage adjustment factor:

Within 20m from express way: -20% of no. of years

Within 20m from major arterial road: -10% of no. of years

Within 20m from light traffic road: -5% of no. of years

Within 20m from sea water/ area prone to salt spray: -15% of no. of years

Test certificate from approved local testing authority : +15% of no. of years

Galvanized steel sheet with weathering face coated with acrylic paint. Underside coated with protective paint. Coated with approved colour. 25
0.4 to 0.5mm thick steel sheet galvanized minimum 275 gr/m² on both sides, pressed into tile profiles and coated with an acrylic base coat on both sides. Additional coating to weathering face to be acrylic top coat with embedded natural cleaned and graded silica granules then sprayed with acrylic glaze. 20

If aluminium or stainless steel or copper fixings are used, adjustment factors are provided for ferrous fixings:

  • Unprotected/ unplated ferrous fixings: -30% years
  • Galvanized or electroplated ferrous fixings: – 15% years

Note: Fixings are made with either galvanized annular groove, or electorplated and passivated carbon steel self drilling screw with plastic coated head.
