Remedial

p_fungus

No major repairs are necessary since it only affects the aesthetics of the facade.

To prevent recurrence [4]:

  • remove the source of the dampness and to dry out the walls as thoroughly as possible;
  • improve ventilation, if necessary
  • remove the infected paint
  • sterilise the surface by applying an antiseptic wash and to allow it to dry before redecorating; and
  • use a fungi resistant paint
