Cause of Defects

Plant growth is initiated when the seeds or pores of plants are carried by wind or by birds and are deposited on the sealant joint. Rain provides the necessary water needed for germination of seeds. After germination, the roots of seedlings create gaps in the roof structure thereby facilitating penetration of rainwater. If the roots penetrate deep enough, waterproofing membrane and insulation will be damaged.
