GRC

Navigation

GRC is a composite material consisting of ordinary Portland cement, silica sand and water, mixed with alkali-resistance glass fibres. The presence of the glass fibre determines the ultimate strength, and also acts to carry the tensile forces, thus overcoming the poor tensile capability of cement. GRC can be an alternative to reinforced concrete as it offers better weathering resistance, is non-combustible, has low thermal movement, and a higher strength to weight ratio.
