Preformed membrane

Sheet/ roll applied waterproofing with base materials to CP 82:1999, with method of fixing includes self adhesive, adhesive bonding, chemical welding, hot air welding, and mechanical fixing, in accordance to manufacturer instruction. Material tested to ASTM D 568: 1999 or equivalent.

Bituminous: asphalt, bitumen, modified bitumen

Non Bituminous: Ethylene-Cpolymer Bitumen (ECB), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE), Butyl Rubber, Ethylene Proplyene Diene (EPDM), Neoprene, Polyisobutylene (PIB), Bentonite clays.

 10 Constantly immersed in water or exposed to extreme moisture: -15% years,

Exposed to weathering without surface protection (ie conventional roof system): -20% years.
Liquid applied system

Liquid (cold/ hot) applied with base material to CP 82: 1999, with method of fixing includes by means of squeegee, roller, brush, trowel or spray, in accordance to manufacturer instruction. Hot applied to ASTM D 6622: 2001and cold applied to C 898: 2001.

  • Bituminous
  • Non Bituminous: acrylic, cementitious, epoxy resin, hypalon, neoprene, polyurethane, polysulphide, rubber and silicone

Testing methods for cementitious membrane includes:

  • ASTM D 2240 for initial hardness
  • ASTM C 836 for crack bridging
  • ASTM D 4541 for adhesion
  • ASTM D 412 for tensile strength and elongation

Liquid (cold/ hot) applied with base material not in accordance to CP 82: 1999, with method of fixing includes by means of squeegee, roller, brush, trowel or spray, in accordance to manufacturer instruction. < 10
Integral system*

Integral waterproofing system with method of application includes by means of masonry brush or compressed air-spray equipment, in accordance to manufacturer instruction.
