Joints
Exterior seals are never perfect and deteriorate overtime and should not be used. Face sealed systems should not be used.
Pressure equalisation system together with drained joints should be used. Drain holes should be provided in the head and in the sill of the window.
The sealing details of the joint should be indicated in the drawings and the material used for the sealant, backing rod and gaskets should be nominated.
