Good Practices
Avoid using poor sealant. Poor quality sealants fail after a short time and its service life is far less than expected. This rapid failure is due to the aggressive UV weathering which causes the sealant to crack and wrinkle.
The lightning conductors should be securely fixed to new brackets at 600mm c/c fixed to the side of the metal capping and no fixing holes are to be made through the top of the capping.
